CCBI Releases National and Continental Synod Documents

Bangalore, January 6, 2025 (CCBI): The Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI) releases of two key publications “National Synod Documents” and “Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences Synod Documents”. The launch took place at the CCBI General Secretariat in Bangalore and was officiated by Mr. Thierry Bonaventura, a representative from the Synod Secretariat in Rome.

The first book, National Synod Documents, offers a comprehensive collection of the CCBI’s contributions to the Synod process. It includes the National Synthesis of the Synod, the CCBI’s Response to the Second Session of the Synod, the CCBI’s Response to the Continental Synod, and a compilation of Testimonies and Good Practices shared during the Synod journey.

The second book, Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conferences Synod Documents, features pivotal texts shaping the synodal journey across Asia. Key contents include the Bangkok Document 2023, the Final Document of the Asian Continental Assembly on Synodality, and the FABC’s Response to the Synthesis Report.

These publications serve as vital resources for those delving into the concept of Synodality. They also provide practical guidance for ecclesial leaders aiming to foster a synodal spirit within religious congregations, parishes, dioceses, and other church institutions.
