Indore, Madhya Pradesh, December 9, 2025: Atmadarshan TV brought Christmas cheer to slum children in Indore through a special celebration at Badkiya Basti, Bijalpur. The programme, organised by the Atmadarshan Foundation in collaboration with the Indore Social Welfare Foundation on 8 December, extended festive warmth to families living on the margins of society.
The event was sponsored by Mrs. Jury Lowden in memory of the late Mr. Philip Lowden, marking his 15th memorial day. The Atmadarshan Foundation, working through Atmadarshan TV, has consistently supported impoverished communities by distributing monthly ration supplies. With the help of donors, the foundation provides between 100 and 150 ration kits every month to families in need. Fr. Anand, CEO of Atmadarshan TV, ensures that the foundation contributes its monthly tithe to sustain this outreach initiative.
During major festivals such as Diwali and Christmas, the foundation expands its support, distributing around 500 ration kits to families facing hardship. This continued effort reinforces the organisation’s long-standing commitment to serving vulnerable communities in Indore.
Volunteers from the Indore Social Welfare Foundation joined the Atmadarshan team for the Christmas celebration, engaging with local children and creating a joyful, festive atmosphere. Christmas gifts were distributed to the young participants, while essential provisions were shared with their families. The gathering also served as a heartfelt tribute to Mr. Philip Lowden, whose spirit of generosity continues to inspire charitable initiatives each year.
Key contributors to the programme included Mrs. Jury Lowden, Mr. Hendrich Lowden, Father Anand, Mr. Neeraj Sankat, and event coordinator Dr. Angeline James. Their combined efforts ensured the success of the celebration, bringing smiles to children who rarely have access to organised festive events.
The outreach set a meaningful tone for the city’s Christmas season, embodying the true spirit of giving and sharing. Through this initiative, Atmadarshan TV and its partner organisations reaffirmed their commitment to uplifting vulnerable families and spreading joy during the festive period.
