Archdiocese of Goa and Daman Observes Day Dedicated to Natural Family Planning

Goa, July 20, 2025: The Diocesan Family Service Centre (DFSC) observed a special day dedicated to Natural Family Planning (NFP) at Our Lady of Fatima Church, Cotto Fatorpa. The celebration began with the Holy Eucharist in the morning, presided over by Fr. Albano Fernandes, Director of DFSC. In his homily, Fr. Albano reflected on the Word of God and emphasised the importance of building marital relationships grounded in God’s Will, sacrificial love, and attentive listening to God’s Word.

Following the Eucharistic celebration, an informative session on Natural Family Planning and Healthy Parenting was conducted by Ms. Augusta Cardozo and Ms. Perpetua Souza, both trained faculty in NFP. Around 60 parishioners participated in the session, and each received a certificate of appreciation and participation.

Fr. Jose Fernandes MSFS, Parish Priest, welcomed the guest. Fr. Albano extended heartfelt gratitude to Fr. Jose Carmo Fernandes, MSFS, and Fr. Raymond, MFSC, for their warm hospitality and for graciously welcoming the celebration of this important day in their parish. He also expressed his gratitude to all the participants.
